A Creative Studio Rooted in Fabric and Feeling
Fabric First
Each piece begins with fabric, colour, pattern, texture and feeling. This allows the material itself to lead inspiration and creative direction.
Form & Composition
Shape, proportion and detail are considered carefully, creating pieces that feel expressive, balanced and full of character.
From Medicine to Makership
Before Fandangle, Agnes honed her craft at Squint in London, creating one-off, fabric-wrapped pieces, each entirely bespoke. The work found an audience well beyond the studio, with pieces sold at Liberty in London, Barneys in New York and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, and featured in national and international press.
That period shaped the instinct that now runs through Fandangle: an eye for pattern, patience for hand-finishing, and a belief that a familiar object, dressed differently, can hold a room’s attention.
Based in Essex, UK, Fandangle brings a disciplined hand to a deeply creative process, combining careful construction, material curiosity and a love of expressive detail. Each piece is made slowly and individually, with every fold, join and finish considered.
Before this creative shift, Agnes trained in medicine and spent years working across hospital medicine and the pharmaceutical sector. That background still quietly informs the work, through precision, patience and close attention to detail.
